After our fun trip to Auburn, my cousin Jason, Aunt Sandy, and Raegan came to town early for our Labor Day get together. Sunday night Andrew and Raegan had to take the mustang for a spin.

Once the mosquitoes got really bad, we went back over to my Grandma's house where Andrew and Raegan had pillow fights and played tackle until 10:30 pm! Andrew was so wired that I almost never got him to sleep. The next (late) morning, we went over to meet up with the rest of the family for some BBQ and honey baked ham. Yum! We had homemade ice cream and tons of desserts. I made a dark chocolate cobbler that was pretty tasty. When the kiddos were finished playing they wanted to go back to Granna and Paw-Paw's to play outside. Gracie and Uncle played baseball with Andrew. He's quite the little slugger!

Take cover, Gracie!
That was a close one!
Then Raegan had her turn.
They were pretty tired, so they went back to Granny's for a little tv time with Gracie.
Before they left to head back to Tuscaloosa, we had one more request of Andrew and Raegan. You see, when my cousin Jason and I were about Andrew and Raegan's age, someone took a picture of us holding hands as we walked down the driveway. A local artist turned that picture into two paintings. One is hanging in my Grandma's house and the one that was in my Great-Grandparents' house is now at Mom and Dad's. Since Jason and I both have children now, I thought it would be neat if we did the same thing, so they could have a similar picture. I need to take a picture of the oil painting of us and put on here, so you can see what it looks like. But in the meantime, here's the picture I got of Andrew and Raegan.
I'll keep you posted as to when we have that turned into a painting!
Now the kids were super tired and at first they didn't want to cooperate, but it was nothing that a little bribery couldn't handle!
After Raegan left, Andrew spent the rest of the day playing with his second cousins, Will and Sam. They had SO much fun! It was a great day. I love it when the family gets together and I look forward to our next "gathering."
