Hello Football Season

Well it's that time of year again....FOOTBALL SEASON!  We were in Albertville for opening weekend, so naturally we had to take some pictures of the newest Auburn fans in the family.  Most of the pictures were taken with Annah's camera, so maybe she'll post those on her blog. :)

Girlfriend has got the hang of the head tilt!

She Speaks!

So, today Aubrey looked at me on the changing table and said, "Mama."  I've heard her say it before either fussing or in gibberish, but today is was special, because she meant it!  And...I just so happened to catch it on video!

Is that not the sweetest thing?  I'm one proud Mama!

My First Grader

Somehow my little boy is old enough to be in First Grade.  Again...how did that happen?!  These babies of mine are growing up way too fast.

After a summer of staying up late and sleeping even later, 6 am came early for all of us.  But Andrew didn't complain.  He jumped out of bed and got ready for school.  Here's our annual "first day of school" picture.
I walked him in and to his classroom, but I didn't go "in"his room.  I stayed only long enough to snap this picture with Ms. Hoffman.
And just for reference....here's last year's photo.

I picked him up and he was all smiles, so he had a great first day.  He did say that first grade felt a lot longer than Kindergarten.  He said his favorite part of his day was "running a lap and playing at PE."  When I asked his favorite part of Ms. Hoffman's class, he responded, "Science and Math."

Aubrey 7 months

So, the Princess is 7 months old now.  How did that happen?!  She is so precious and so much fun.  This age is great because she's constantly doing new things every day and revealing more and more of her personality.
You'll notice that we're no longer sporting bibs in all of our pictures.  Just like her brother, the reflux went away with the introduction of solids.  (Praise the Lord)  She still only has 2 teeth, but from the looks of her gums, all her drool, and her cranky-pants attitude I'd say there are more on the way!
She's sitting up really well these days, though at times she looks like a "weeble."  She FINALLY decided to roll from her back to her belly.  She has been rolling the other way for a while and we're pretty sure she was capable of rolling from back to belly.  She just chose not to because she HATES tummy time.
She is very vocal these days.  Her jibberish sounds very intentional.  I wish I could decipher all her babble.  She has cried out for "mama" a few times. (Mostly when she's mad or sleepy and wants me to get her) I swear the other day I heard a "bubba" and lately I've even heard the makings of "Da-DEE."
She still loves her bath and riding in the car is not such a problem for her anymore, so that's nice.  Here are some cute pictures of baby girl at 7 months.

King's Kids

Every summer our church has King's Kids.  It is a summer music program for grades 1-5 that takes place Monday through Friday from 9 til noon of one week only.  In this ONE week, the kids learn a whole entire musical.  This year I directed the 4th and 5th graders.  I love these kids.  They're most of the group I have on Wednesday nights (on Weds I also get the 3rd graders).  This year's musical was called "The Star Factor."  The kids learned all about working together as the body of Christ; using our individual gifts/talents to praise Him.  It was a lot of fun.  They did a great job and I was very proud of them!  Here are a  few pics of performance night.
Most of my kiddos had speaking parts.
