Day 3 started at Animal Kingdom. We got up early again to get to the park when it opened. The first thing we did was the Harabe Safari. It was great to go first thing in the morning. All of the animals were "fresh" and roaming around. I was amazed at the horns on the Watusse Cattle!
Just moments before I took this picture, this tall guy gave 2 cars in front of us a very up close and personal experience. He all but climbed in their vehicle! But by the time we turned the corner, he had made his way up into the bushes.
I love monkeys....especially cute little baby ones!
Andrew enjoyed watching these young elephants play.
This guy was taking a chill right by the road.
The Safari was a lot of fun. I took a ton of other pictures but I won't bore you with lots of animals. Another exciting thing about our safari ride: We got to hear the lion ROAR! What an intimidating sound!
Andrew liked playing the african drums.
You can't go to Animal Kingdom without seeing the Lion King show!
Drew and a really big fish.
Andrew being a ham in front of the waterfall.
After half a day at Animal Kingdom, we headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios. One of the first things we did was the Toy Story Mania ride. I love all the interactive "waiting" they have at Disney. Andrew stepped right into the game of Candy Land.
Mr. Potato Head's CG eyes disappeared with the flash.
We made it out of the ride in time to catch the Pixar "5, 4, 3, 2, FUN!" parade. I always love to see the pixar characters roaming around!
Lights! Motors! ACTION! show
Andrew liked it when the cars drove on 2 wheels...just like the Duke Boys!
Too bad we were behind the pole for the grand finale!
While Andrew was napping, Drew and I took turns riding the Rockin' Roller Coaster. I don't remember it giving me such a headache! (still a great ride though)
But my favorite part of Hollywood Studios would have to have been the American Idol Experience! When we go back in September, I'm totally trying out!
After a fun filled day, we had some time to visit other parks, so per Andrew's request, we went back to Epcot to ride Test Track! When we were finished with rides there, we STILL had more time, so we rode the monorail (where I saw a group of teachers from ALBERTVILLE!) back to the Magic Kingdom to grab some goodies at the confectionary, and take some pictures with the princesses. Andrew would NOT get in the pictures with us, so he used my camera and took all of the following pics:
Sleepy Beauty (I look like a dork because I'm laughing at Andrew)
He at least talked to her and eventually gave her a high 5.
Belle
My favorite girl, Cinderella!
Drew was pretty disappointed that Snow White was not there with all the other princesses. (Don't worry...we caught up with her another day.)
Officially, on our Disney Day 3, we visited all 4 parks...in ONE DAY! Another exhausting day! What does tomorrow hold? It was a surprise for Andrew! You'll have to wait and see...
