The Rest of Our June at a Glance

After our trip to Disney, we headed to Albertville for a pretty busy weekend.  A friend of mine got married and it was Father's Day.  When we got there, Aubrey and Trace were happy to see one another.

The next day was Carrie and Tim's wedding.  It was beautiful!  I'm so glad I got to be there.  Our former youth minister (my first one ever) who has been a missionary in Brazil for the past 18 years, was home on furlough and actually performed their ceremony.  It was special.  The last time I saw Chris and Melody was at OUR wedding almost 9 years ago!
 Erin and Carrie
Oh, I have lots of good memories with these girls!  How I love them so!
Later that night, some of the old youth group and their families got together at Catfish Cabin to reminisce.   Good times were had by all.
The next day was Father's Day.  We went to Granny's house after church and I was able to catch a few pictures of "Daddy" with his kiddos.

Later that afternoon we went to Granny Nita's where Aubrey  hung out on the table.
Drew had to leave that day, but the kids and I stuck around for a few extra days to help out.  My grandmother had knee surgery and we needed a few extra hands around.   Being there a little longer gave us time to play and take pictures of the kiddos!
Paw-Paw hung a giant swing for Andrew

Andrew also lost his second tooth!
I got to keep Trace Parker for a few hours on a couple of days while Mom was at the hospital with Granny.  Andrew liked playing babysitter.  He gave Trace his bottle and rocked him to sleep.
Cute pics of the Grands:

Some pictures of them NOT in their PJs!

This picture cracks me up!  Aubrey very quickly lost interest in our little photo shoot and Andrew wasn't happy because he was being eaten by mosquitoes...it was just funny!
Once inside she felt much better!

Two weekends later the kids and I made it back to Albertville for Mt. Calvary's 75th Anniversary Homecoming.  It was a quick trip this time but I'm glad to I got to see a lot of my home church family.  And of course, the kiddos got to spend some more time together.

 Aubrey told Trace a story...
Apparently they both thought it was pretty funny...
 ...REALLY funny!
Could we have a left handed pitcher on our hands??

Disney's Star Wars Weekends

*bare with me folks...this is a long one.

On the last day of school (Friday, June 7th), Grammy drove over and we all loaded up and headed south to Disney World.  We picked Andrew up and hit the road.  After getting all checked in to the hotel, we spent the first night at Magic Kingdom.  We hit all of Andrew's favorites before park closing.

Aubrey slept most of the night

Day 2: We met the our friends at Animal Kingdom and had a blast until the floods came and washed us away!  We were prepared with our ponchos and stroller cover though Aubrey was the only one who stayed dry.

Deanna and Aubrey sporting their sunglasses.
We had another great safari.  The giraffes were super friendly.
On Sunday we went to Hollywood Studios for Star Wars Weekends.  Drew went to one last year while working in Tampa, but this was a first for Andrew, Aubrey, and myself.   In true Disney fashion, it was really well done.  We really enjoyed it.
 Storm trooper comedy show
The parade was really neat.  It was filled with TONS of Star Wars Characters and celebrity hosts.   Andrew and Grammy are waiting on it to start.
 Jedi Mickey kicked it off!
 Minnie as Princess Leia
Several times Andrew got really excited!!

His face when he saw Darth Maul (too bad I missed Darth Maul...too busy taking a picture of this face!)

After the parade, Andrew decided he wanted to get his face painted. (which is awesome because he's never interested in that!)  I guess star wars weekend inspired him to try new things.
 Chip n Dale were ewoks!

While Andrew waited in line with Grammy to take pictures with some characters, lil girl wanted to take a few pictures of her own.  She looked very fabulous in her pink Minnie Dress and shabby chic Minnie headband.  And might I say...best mood ever!

 Look at this sweet face!
 She's so precious, I can't stand it!
Mickey and R2D2 finished up their session right before Andrew got up there, which worked out perfectly because he wanted his picture with Goofy as Darth Vadar.
Goofy got out there earlier than Donald, so he had a little extra time to hang with Andrew in line.

 Use the force!

The kids and I went back to the hotel for a much needed nap while Drew and Grammy stuck around for some celebrity shows.
We made it back in time to use our Fast Passes for Toy Story Mania and catch the "Hoopla" on stage.  This show is so cute!  All the characters come out and have a dance off.  It was really good.  Who knew Darth Vadar had such moves!
After the show, we headed over to "Darth's Mall" for a little star wars shopping.  Andrew took a picture with the Rancor.
 Lego Darth Vadar
The next day we hit Magic Kingdom all day.  Aubrey was awake and ready to ride.  She liked Dumbo until her brother made us go up and down really fast.

After riding some rides, we hit up the character spot in New Fantasyland.
Goofy liked Andrew's shirt.
 He liked Aubrey too.
Donald did NOT like Andrew's shirt.

Aubrey isn't sure what to think of Minnie.

My little princess HAD to have her picture made with Cinderella, but something was missing...
A tiara!  Every princess needs a tiara.  Grammy bought her a blue one to match her dress and she was all set.

Unfortunately we had to wait so late in the day for her picture, that she was too sleepy to smile.  Oh well...she was the cutest lil Cinderella ever!

It was another fun trip to Disney.  Even with 2 extra days this time, it was still go go go, hurry hurry hurry.  Our next trip will be in December with my cousin Jason and his family!  We can't wait!
