Bear Jamboree and All Things Halloween

Our Halloween festivities kicked off with Andrew's school's "Costume Capers" .  Since they can't wear masks, he wanted to be the same blow up pumpkin like last year.  Here he is marching around the track.
That same night his school also had their annual "Bear Jamboree."  I didn't take many pictures, but I did manage to get Andrew going down the giant bouncy slide.
It was an unusually COLD night.  Jojo was all bundled up...and sleeping.

A few nights later we had trick-or-treating at the squadron.  Andrew had fun making a yummy spider.

Aubrey was happy to see Daddy!

Next on our Halloween list was the fall festival at FBC.  We played lots of games before heading home to trick-or-treat in the neighborhood.
Our "little angel" was a big hit.
This little angel should have been dressed as the devil!
This year for trick-or-treating, we had some friends come and join us in the neighborhood.  We loaded all the kids up on the trailer and pulled them through the neighborhood.  It was much more efficient (and way faster).

Pensacola State Fair

We went to the Pensacola State Fair with our good friends Chris and Danielle.  This was my first time there and I must say, it's a pretty impressive fair.  There were so many food booths that I lost count.  Andrew and Harlie had fun riding all the kiddie rides.  Andrew even walked on water.  He saw these water bubbles and had to try it.

Andrew is my little thrill seeker.  Hard to believe, right?  Sweet, shy little Andrew LOVES roller coasters and fair rides.  He and I rode one kind of like the scrambler.  We laughed the whole time.  Then he rode with Harlie and her family on the little mouse roller coaster.
It was a great night with great friends.  We ate, rode rides, laughed, had lots of fun, and ate some more. Can't wait to do it again!

Christmas Card Preview

We had some pictures taken of the 4 of us by my friend Nicole.  (the first official photo shoot as a family of 4).  Check out her facebook page to see some of her other amazing work.  Nicole and I met through our kids.  Her daughter was in Andrew's kindergarten class and she and her brother played on Andrew's tee ball team.  We've really enjoyed getting to know their family and we LOVED the pictures that Nicole took of us.  One or more of these will be on our Christmas card...so keep an eye on your mailboxes!

They had cups filled with whipped cream to look like hot chocolate.  Aubrey dug in and ended up a MESS!

Oh how I love this sweet boy!  He just melts my heart!

Family Beach Weekend!

My family came down for the long weekend and Mom and Dad rented a condo in Navarre.  I'm just gonna say that I think the beach in October might be my favorite thing EVER!  Our fall has been pretty busy and it's only going to get worse, so to have 3 days of pure relaxation, where I didn't check my email or facebook 40,000 times a day and just hang out with my family....it was pure bliss!  The weather was perfect.  The first day it was pretty hot and sunny.  Then on Saturday it was nice and cloudy.  It was just warm enough that you didn't need a jacket, but cool enough so you weren't sweating like in the summer.  Trace and Aubrey had fun playing together.  Trace is like his Momma; he LOVES the sand.  He kept crawling off the blanket and eating it!  Aubrey is like her Momma; she liked being on the beach as long as she wasn't in the sand.  Every time I'd try to put her toes in it, she'd pick her legs up and try to get away.

Ahh...sitting on the beach with coffee...PERFECT!
We stopped by our friend Arleen's pumpkin patch while we were in her neck of the woods.  I took some pics of Aubrey on the big pumpkin.

The 6 year old on the other hand, didn't want his picture taken.
He just wanted to get back to the condo and play with Granny!
Granna and Paw Paw played babysitter up in the condo so the big kids could have some beach time without chasing down kiddos.
Then on Saturday afternoon, we tried to get some beach pictures of the kiddos.  Well, as I mentioned before Aubrey does NOT like the sand, so when you stick her in it to have her picture made, she gets a little mad.  These are the only 3 pictures where she looks remotely calm.

The rest of the time, she pretty much looked like this!
It was a great trip!  We had some great family time, got to RELAX, and Auburn stuck it to Johnny Football and beat Texas A&M!  War Eagle, HEY!

Aubrey 9 Months

At her 9 month check up, Aubrey weighed 18 lbs 3 oz.  (*I think-I'm so far behind on my blog that it's hard to remember.) She is healthy as a horse and still just as cute as can be.  Her personality continues to bloom.  Girlfriend can give you some looks!  And I just love the way she scrunches up her nose when she smiles at you.  If you were ever wondering at what age a child decides that she no longer approves of headbands....it's 9 months!  I was very excited about her wearing her new crochet boots with her jeggins.  The boots don't stay on her tiny tootsies and she had a fit when I put the headband on.

She was much happier without it.
My friend Stephanie got her this outfit and I swear it's her favorite.  Every time we go to the closet to pick out an outfit, she reaches for this one!

She is the happiest baby!  She still loves her brother to pieces and he still returns her affections.  I'm sure there will come a day when he's less than thrilled about her getting into his stuff.  But for now we're enjoying all the smiles and giggles.  Look at that face.....couldn't you just eat her up?!
