Disney/ Rock the Universe

We left our house in a post-move disaster to head down to Disney World.  We drove the RV down and spent the fist night in the Jacksonville, FL driveway of our good friends, the Fetzners.  We were stationed in FL with them and haven't seen them in about 5 years.  They're renting this great house on the water, so we got to do some fishing and boating while we visited.

Little boat ride

August wasn't too sure about the boat and was probably the reason we cut the ride short!
We had to say our goodbyes pretty early that morning, but it was great catching up!
A couple of hours later, we made it to the Happiest Place on Earth.  We set up the camper at Fort Wilderness for my brother-in-law's family.  (Luckily Drew's parents drove our truck to Orlando, so we are finally reunited with our second vehicle.).

After checking in to our hotel, we headed to Disney Springs for a little food and virtual reality fun!
(Stroller brigade)
Drew, Andrew, our nephew Alex, and I all participated in the VOID...a Star Wars virtual reality experience.  It was amazing!  This is what I looked like. :)

 Day 1: Magic Kingdom

 The baby LOVES the "horsies"

This was the only time we had all the grandbabies together, so we had to take a picture...even though August was sleeping through most of them.  Look...getting a perfect picture of 7 kids is nearly impossible.  We'll take what we can get.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party:  (I really should download some of the Photo Pass pictures.  They're way better than my cell phone!)

Aubrey LOVES the princesses.  (This is actually her THIRD picture with Ariel TODAY)

Day 2: EPCOT

 Day 3: Animal Kingdom

Day 4: Blizzard Beach
 (I hardly took any pics)

 Day 5:  Hollywood Studios
Friday and Saturday night we went to Universal for their Christian concert series, Rock the Universe. (We planned this trip nearly a year ago, thinking that we would attend Disney's Night of Joy, but they cancelled it after about 35 years. BOOOOO!  Lucky for us, Universal had theirs the same weekend.)

LAUREN DAIGLE!!!  She is Aubrey's favorite and it blessed my heart to see how excited she was when she came on stage.  And she was singing at the top of her lungs!  (Drew has video. I should add that later.)

Toby Mac was the headliner Friday night.  Great show!  August slept through most of it with his big headphones on.
And that wrapped up another fun filed trip to Disney.  We can't wait to go back in DECEMBER with our good friends!

Christmas in Disney (Well, Almost)

'Twas the night before Disney, and all through the house.  Not a creature was stirring....well, except for Sumper and his new elf friend, Kitty!  My cousin's family came to the house before heading to DISNEY!  Raegan's elf, Kitty joined the party and Mickey and some of his friends waited on the mantel to say goodbye!
While Andrew was at school, Aubrey and Raegan had a great time playing.
We finally made it to Disney and after getting a good night's rest, we hit the Magic Kingdom bright and early.

You know our first ride HAS to be Dumbo!
Aubrey slept through the whole thing!

We ate lunch at the castle with Cinderella and her princess friends.

You know Drew has to have his picture made with Snow White!

It's a small world
My favorite part about Disney at Christmas?  The Castle!
That night was Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.  It had been a long day and the kids were tired.  Well, Aubrey and Raegan were fine.
Both of the boys fell asleep waiting on the parade!
We woke them up before show time.

I finally got to eat the yummy fruit and nutella waffle at Sleepy Hollow.  So this was my parade snack!

 Snowing on Main Street!
Our second day was spent at Epcot.  The kids were dressed for pictures with Santa.  They look happy right?

Sure...it's all smiles until you put Santa in the equation!
 Soarin'
Trace Atkins did the narration at the Candlelight Processional.

The highlight of my night:  Sweet potato casserole waffle and...
turkey and dressing waffle!  They were both delicious!
hotel fun with her free Minnie (thanks to the cast member at Mouse Gear for Aubrey's first "Magical Moment")
Our next day was spent at Animal Kindgom and Hollywood Studios.  We FINALLY got Andrew to ride Expedition Everest.  He loved it, just like we knew he would.

We met up with our friends, the Pecina's.  The Skipper and Drew were picked as volunteers in the backlot tour show.  The kids loved it!

After a long, but fun day Aubrey is still going strong as we're walking out the door at midnight!

We had a blast and we're so glad that Jason and Traci went with us.  Now since it's December 22nd, we'd better hurry home.  We have a CRAZY Christmas schedule ahead of us!
