Sunday School Party

My Dad teaches a Sunday School class at church and this year, he  Mom hosted their annual Christmas party pot luck.  Since Mom teaches the pre-school Sunday School class, she wasn't present in Dad's class to get all the details.    Dad sometimes isn't too good with details (men!) so we thought the party started at 6:30.  (It started at 6) and he said there were 20 people in the class. (There are 30)  I took Andrew over to my Grandparents' house so I could crash the party.  We had quite the turnout.  And oh, the food....it was delicious!  It looked like Thanksgiving all over again.  Yum!   If you ever wondered what it would be like to have 28 people in our living room, it looks like this:

It was a full house!  I haven't seen that many people in the house since my 8th grade New Year's party!

In addition to the pot luck dinner, everyone brings a gift for a game of dirty santa.   Some of these gals really get into the game.  It was so funny to watch people stealing gifts all night.  Here are a few pics of the  game...
This was a VERY popular gift.  He was stolen all night!
 Everyone took Renee's gifts!
Stan gave a speech as to why no one should steal his mini shop vac.
Jamie seems pleased with this santa, after the other one was stolen.
Their class has a humorous tradition of bestowing this jingle bell underwear upon an unsuspecting individual each year.  The proud recipient has to keep up with them all year and bring them to the party the following year.  (My Dad got them last year, so it was time to pass them on.)
I don't know what Mr. Brock ended up with, but I couldn't resist posting this picture.
What a great party!  Everyone had a great time and Mom you did a wonderful job hosting.  (The snowman toilet cover was a big hit)  lol
