After our one random night at the Waikiki Pearl, we've settled into a 1 bedroom apartment at the Waikiki Park Heights. It's nice. We're one block off the beach, so there's plenty of fun in the sun and sand to be had. Here's our view from the 12th floor.

Kitchen? Oh yeah, here it is...I learned the hard way that if you use both burners AND the microwave, you blow a fuse! It's cramped and tiny but some pretty ono meals have come out of this little counter!
Sunday, after church, we had the chance to go to the old neighborhood. It was Silke's birthday party! It was so good to see her and Andrew had a blast playing with his old friends on the street!
Monday, we rented a boat to go out to the sandbar. We didn't have the best luck. The first boat died completely, 3 minutes outside of the marina. So as you can see here, we had to be towed back! They gave us a second boat, which they assured us was brand new and had NEVER broken down. Wouldn't ya know it didn't crank AT ALL! So the third time was the charm and away we went!

On our way back to the marina, we took a tour of the bay and saw this not so little guy swimming around.
And very poetically we passed by the good 'ole Puu Ali'i. (The apartments on the hill). Drew and I lived there for a couple of months before our base house became available. So technically, that was our first "home." That's where this incredible journey started almost 7 years ago! It was a nice way to end our last trip to the sandbar.
